What happened in August and what’s to come in September

August Highlights

Mud Club Season 1 is drawing to a close this week, and what a journey it has been! The sheer talent and creativity on display have been nothing short of inspiring. We’ve had the pleasure of working with a variety of clays, from the smooth elegance of white stoneware to the rich, dark tones of black stoneware. The speckled clay added a unique texture, while crank clay brought a robust, earthy quality to our creations. Porcelain, with its delicate and refined nature, and the innovative paper clay, have both pushed our artistic boundaries.

Our exploration didn’t stop there. We’ve delved into the world of new glazes and coloured slips, adding vibrant hues and intricate patterns to our pieces. Each session has been a testament to the incredible skill and dedication of everyone involved. Here’s to celebrating the end of a fantastic season and looking forward to many more creative adventures ahead! 🎨✨

I’ve begun creating for my Christmas markets, I’m brimming with delightful ideas for festive decorations and splendid gifts. This is the earliest I’ve ever embarked on my Christmas preparations, but with so many wonderful events ahead, I certainly don’t want to run out of stock.

I’ve also been creating my beloved facepots, which will soon be available on my website and at the markets I’ll be attending.

What to come in September

Mud Club Season 2 is now open for bookings on my website! If you’ve ever fancied trying your hand at pottery in a warm and welcoming community, now’s your chance. With only a few spaces remaining, don’t miss out. Classes will commence at the end of September. 🎨✨

Clay in Clare - Exciting News!  I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be part of an exhibition alongside 10 other talented clay artists. This four-day event kicks off on the 12th of September and runs until the 15th, open daily from 10am to 4pm.

I’ll be there on Thursday afternoon, and I’d love for you to drop by and say hello. The exhibition will be held at The Old Goods Shed, Clare Castle Country Park, and entry is free. It would be wonderful to see you there! 🎨✨

I’ve teamed up with my wonderful yoga teacher for a special one-day event for her students. One of the highlights of the day will be a clay meditation session, something I’ve long dreamed of bringing to life. I am eagerly anticipating this unique and serene experience. 🌿🧘‍♀️✨

Take care
