Service Description

This private pottery session, held in my garden studio in Thurston, Suffolk, is designed for couples for a fun date night or celebrating their anniversary (9th wedding anniversary is ‘pottery’) Firstly, you’ll explore the pinch method to create an organic-shaped bowl ideal for snacks or tapas. Then you’ll take these skills and experience throwing a pot on the potter’s wheel. This session is suitable for complete beginners or novices. Once your items have thoroughly dried and undergone their initial firing. I will glaze the items in your preferred colours which you will choose on the day of making. You will need to pick up your work, or if you require it shipped, there will be a shipping fee due at the time of your lesson. Please note the pottery process is a lengthy one and can take a few weeks for your items to be complete. As an added bonus, the cost of this package includes two artisan-made goblets and a bottle of prosecco, allowing you to celebrate your love once you’re back home. Terms & Conditions Cancellation of a booking by the customer Bookings are subject to the following cancellation policy: If for some reason you are no longer able to attend your lesson, please get in touch as soon as possible. More than 14 days’ notice Full refund (£10 admin fee charged) or free re-booking. 14 days or less notice 50% refund (£10 admin fee charged) or 50% discount on a new booking. If your lesson is 7 days or less away, then I'm afraid I cannot offer a refund. Cancellation of a booking by baked stone pottery -In the unlikely event that I need to cancel your session I will give you as much notice as possible. Customers will either be transferred to another session within a reasonable period of time or offered a full refund. While I know lives are busy and complicated, and sometimes things beyond your control happen, may I gently remind you that, as a small studio, last minute cancellations or requests to swap sessions very much affect me –– as I always strive to hold small and intimate classes that offer you as much 1:1 attention as possible. As much as I would love to, I unfortunately cannot offer exceptions to my booking policy and are so grateful for your understanding and you not pressuring me to do so.
